In The Florida Keys

The Florida Keys is a diverse and gorgeous place to visit.  Depending on where you decide to travel to, the activities can vary greatly.  One of the big draws in the Florida Keys is the Grimal Grove.  This old, abandoned tree grove was let go and had overgrown to the point of a nuisance to the neighborhood.  The weeds were so high it was like a jungle in there according to neighbors of the property.

A young family came in and is in the constant process of rebuilding this grove and the transformation is amazing.  They have catered events and kids’ activities that are breathing new life into this once abandoned piece of now paradise.  In the gift shop, they sell multiple items including Keys Honey.  The last time we were there, I heard stories of zip-lining and other fun events going on at the grove!

As far as kid-friendly activities go, there is a dolphin swim in Islamorada, feed the tarpon at Robbie’s in Islamorada, multiple bird sanctuaries, and even sea turtle hospitals.  It is a different world in the Florida Keys.  The color of the water is unlike anywhere else in Florida and there is always Key West.  I don’t think there is a person out there who couldn’t find something to do there.  From restaurants to trolly rides to fishing charters and so much more it is just a historical landmark!

Thank you for visiting our page and there will be more Florida Keys stories to come in the near future!
